The Body Science Great Australian Swim Series Returns!

This season the Body Science Great Australian Swim Series involves four ocean swims along the east-coast of Australia including the Whitsundays, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney between September 2011 and January 2012.

Following the format established in the first year of the Body Science Great Australian Swim the series offers an event for every age group and ability from the 2.2km swim for the experienced swimmer, a 750m course for those just starting out or feeling like a casual splash and a 300m kids event where entrants swim along-side some of Australia’s best open water swimmers and athletes….and don’t forget every competitor receives a race pack.

Swim in some of Australia’s most recognised beaches and destinations, including the Whitsundays, Moreton Bay, Coolangatta and Farm Cove – right outside the Opera House.

Round 3 of the Body Science Great Australian Swim Series rolls into Redcliffe in less than two weeks on Sunday 27 November 2011, Are you ready to take the plunge? Join Olympic and Iron Man champion Ky Hurst and enter now!  

The Great Brisbane Swim is being held in the beautiful Moreton Bay at Suttons Beach Redcliffe and features swims for all ages and abilities.

The 2.2km swim in the bay is perfect for the the more experienced swim or those swimmers ready to take it to the next level. If you're looking for a  more casual outing the 750m splash is for you.  The Body Science Great Australian Swim Series is about participation for all ages and abilities and also includes an anything goes category in both the 2.2km and 750m and a 300m Junior Kids Swim which sees the kids joined in the water by elite swimmers and sporting stars.
